It's about 3 hours north of San Francisco. It is one of the most boring towns I've been to. It's very small. When we went there were few places to eat that were open. (Wasn't tourist season) The ones we did visit weren't very good. After eating at the North Coast Brewery we were sick for the rest of the day. Not fun. Since it's on the coast if you like fishing, diving, or boating it's an OK place to live. There are lots of parks with good hiking in the area. The town's former dump is well known as Gl Beach where people like to beach comb for little bits of broken ocean polished gl. The area has high unemployment because of the decline in the logging industry. Translates into a lot of empty store fronts.
