So basically, Elton John wants us to suck it up?

First of all he clearly had no idea what prop 8 was about. We didn't go for marriage we already had marriage and prop 8 took it away. Second of all this is America not the UK and in America civil unions do not have the same rights as marriage here as they do there. Apparently Elton John did not know that either. You would think as an openly gay man and a celebrity he would do a little bit of research before he would comment on the rights of other LGBT people in other countries.
